Ogochukwu Chime, a member of NECA’s Governing Council and Mr. Adewale-Smatt Oyerinde, the Director General of NECA. During the visit, Dr.

Okoye commended the efforts of the trainees for actively par­ticipating in the ICT Academy’s free training programs and encouraged them to seize the opportunity provided by NECA to develop their skills and contribute positively to their communities. He emphasised the critical role of digi­tal literacy and technology-driven skills in shaping the future of Nigeria’s workforce and called on the trainees to remain focused and determined in their pursuit of knowl­edge. The NECA ICT Academy, established as part of the association’s broader initiative to tackle unemployment and foster econom­ic growth, provides free training in various ICT-related fields, including Software Devel­opment, International Computer Driving License (ICDL), Web Development, Digital Marketing, and Graphics Design.

The Acade­my aims to equip participants with the tech­nical skills necessary to thrive in the digital economy. Dr. Okoye’s and his team visit underscores NECA’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, capacity building, and the development of a sustainable workforce for Nigeria.
