Nebraska Extension regrets to announce the cancellation of two workshops on filing Beneficial Ownership Interest (BOI) reports, scheduled for Jan. 8 in Bridgeport and Jan. 10 in Scottsbluff.
This decision comes after a Dec. 27 federal court order, which currently exempts reporting companies from the requirement to file beneficial ownership information with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). As a result, companies are not subject to penalties if they fail to submit their reports while the order remains in effect.
However, companies may still voluntarily submit their beneficial ownership information reports if they choose to do so. As the situation continues to evolve, Nebraska Extension will continue to monitor updates and provide relevant information to help businesses comply with any future requirements. Nebraska Extension apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
