NCSOFT announced on December 11 that it has made additional investments in domestic and international game companies to achieve global growth and expand its pipeline. The investment targets are the South Korean game developer MISTIL GAMES and the Polish game developer Virtual Alchemy. NCSOFT (NC) aims to secure the publishing rights for new IP from both game studios and enhance its gaming portfolio while strengthening its global publishing capabilities.

MISTIL GAMES is a South Korean game studio established in 2022, led by co-CEOs Seo Yong-soo and Jo Yong-min. The company is currently developing a unique concept PC and console third-person time survival shooting game called "TIME TAKERS" and an online action-adventure game titled "GRAY." By investing in MISTIL GAMES, NC has acquired equity and secured the global publishing rights (excluding China) for "TIME TAKERS," which is set for release in 2025 after a teaser video was revealed at G-Star 2023.

Virtual Alchemy, established in 2022 in Poland, is developing innovative games that combine various genres such as roguelike, RTS (real-time strategy), and dark fantasy, leveraging its expertise in the RPG genre. The company is currently working on a strategy RPG called "Band of Crusaders," set in a medieval European backdrop, and NC has secured the global rights for this game, creating an opportunity to enter the Eastern European market. To keep pace with the rapidly changing trends in the gaming industry, NC is continuously increasing investments in external studios with high genre expertise.

In July, it invested in the Swedish shooting game developer Moon Rover Games, and in August, it made an investment in the domestic subculture game developer Big Game Studio..
