NCD Governor Powes Parkop has commended the efforts of all involved in the recent rugby league development initiatives of NCD Port Moresby Vipers U17 Academy’s first friendly match against the Trinity Bay State High School including the selection of Junior Bini Kaeaka as a Hull Kingston Rovers pathway player. “I would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of everyone who has contributed to this successful program,” Parkop said. “We’ve developed a young generation of athletes who represent our city and nation with pride.
” Parkop also expressed his gratitude to former Kumul Rod Griffin for his involvement in the program, particularly his work with the Trinity Bay State High School Academy. He highlighted the significance of sending young Papua New Guinean players to compete against such a reputable Australian school. “This is a great opportunity for our young players to gain valuable experience and exposure to a higher level of competition,” Parkop added.
“We hope that this program will continue to produce talented rugby league players for years to come.”.
