Elsa/Getty Images/AFP Charlotte Hornets star guard LaMelo Ball is injured once again, with right ankle soreness forcing him to miss the final three quarters of a 97-89 loss to the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA on Monday in New York. Ball missed five games bridging January and February due to a sprained left ankle before playing 36 minutes against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.
He then sat out against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday because of left ankle soreness. READ: LaMelo Ball fined $100K by NBA for ‘derogatory comment’ Now the 23-year-old is in danger of missing more time, although he did say that he doesn’t believe his latest ankle injury to be serious. Charlotte will play again on Wednesday, making a trip to Orlando for a meeting with the Magic before having a week off for the All-Star break.
