Former cricketer and TV personality Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is set to appear in the upcoming episode of Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, recalled about the tough time the Firangi star was going through. He spoke about the challenges faced by Kapil Sharma , which questioned his future in comedy. “When Kapil was not well, he was jittery, he was going through a tough time, people told me he is over," Sidhu said in a candid interview on The Grain Talk Show YouTube channel.

Calling Kapil Sharma a genius, he added, “You don’t have a genius like him. Talent does what it can do, genius does what he must do." I wish everyone gets together...

Everyone dispersed. Now Gutthi (Sunil Grover) is back. He met me in Goa.

He is wonderful. He comes on for 10-15 minutes, he regales everybody. He is another genius.

" In the same interview, Sidhu spoke about his departure from the show and while everyone believed that it was because of his remarks on Pulwama attack, he said, “There were political reasons I don’t want to talk about. There were other reasons..

. and the bouquet fell apart. I have a wish that that bouquet must get together again, the way it was.

I will be the first to facilitate. His show is still doing very well. Kapil is a genius.

" Navjot Singh Sidhu received severe criticism for his statement, post which, he was replaced by Archana Puran Singh in the comedy show. “Nations cannot be held responsible for the dastardly acts of terrorists. The terrorists do not have deen, mazhab (sect and religion).

There are good, the bad and the ugly. Every institution has them. Every nation has them.

The ugly need to be punished. But individuals cannot be blamed for the dastardly act," Sidhu had said..
