Former MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of ex-Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu, has successfully overcome stage 4 cancer after battling the disease for over a year. In a press conference on Thursday, Navjot Singh Sidhu announced that his wife is now clinically cancer-free, despite being given less than 5 percent chance of survival. He credited her recovery to a combination of determination, medical care, and a meticulously planned diet.

This was followed by consuming neem leaves and tulsi. Her daily intake also included a variety of nutrient-rich foods like sour fruits and juices. Berries, which Sidhu described as a "strong medicine for cancer," were another key component of her diet.

For her morning tea, spices such as cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, jaggery, and cardamom were used. She consumed only anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer foods, with cooking limited to coconut oil, cold-pressed oils, or almond oil. Sidhu said that "coconut works miracles" in treatment and further revealed that his wife drank only pH-balanced water at a level of 7.

Navjot Kaur Sidhu's treatment was primarily conducted at government hospitals, including Government Rajendra Medical College in Patiala, which Sidhu praised for its quality and affordability. Despite the initial bleak prognosis, her determination and the support of her family played a crucial role in her recovery. While sharing his wife's story, Sidhu emphasised the importance of a disciplined lifestyle if one wants to beat cancer.
