share 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Naughty Dog just won’t stop milking its post-apocalyptic adventure game The Last of Us , as it has re-released the games yet again, this time bundling both part one and two for the PlayStation 5 as The Last of Us Complete . Announced and released over the weekend, the collection includes both the 2022 remake The Last of Us Part 1 and last year’s remaster of the second game for the PS5, The Last of Us Part II Remastered . “Go back to the beginning and experience the award-winning games that inspired the TV show,” the official description of the bundle reads, “as the definitive editions of these two iconic titles are brought together for the first time in one complete collection.
” Coming in at a whopping S$139, The Last of Us Complete is now available for purchase digitally and comes with both main games, the first game’s Left Behind DLC and the second’s No Return rogue-like mode and Lost Levels content, as a collection of the updated version of both titles, all additional features made for the modern-generation console will also be included, such as DualSense controller support and enhanced accessibility settings. Apart from what was already included in the two games, The Last of Us Complete does not include any additional content. Alongside its base release, The Last of Us Complete will also have a separate Collector’s Edition, due to launch on 10 July.
Costing US$109.99 (roughly S$145), it comes with extra physical goodies such as a steelbook case, physical copies of the game, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics 1 – 4, four lithographic art prints, and even a thank-you letter from studio head Neil Druckmann. The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition is now available for pre-order exclusively on the PlayStation Direct store.
“From our entire studio, thank you so much for your incredible support for The Last of Us and Naughty Dog over the years,” said Druckman in a post announcing the bundles launch , “This is such an exciting moment for both the franchise and our teams. We are so humbled by your personal stories of what the series has meant to you, have marveled at your incredible Photo Mode shots, and inspired to keep pushing ourselves forward to create more stories and worlds you’ll love.” The Last of Us Complete comes as yet another re-release of the games since the original’s launch back in 2013.
The first game was remastered once in 2014 for the PS4 and remade in 2022 for the PS5, while the second was also remastered four years after its PS4 release for the current-gen console, with both games also arriving on the PC. With its slew of releases, Naugthy Dogs’s title is one step closer to becoming as infamous as Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim , which has had seven unique releases across nine different platforms since its original launch in 2011. To be fair, The Last of Us Complete’s launch does make sense, considering it comes in time with HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2, which premieres its first episode today.
The Last of Us Complete is now available digitally for the PS5, with its physical Collector’s Edition coming on 10 July.
