Native Coffee started things off in a mobile horsebox in Co Down but they moved to their permanent home in Queen's Quay in Belfast so I headed over to give it a go this week. It's been a firm favourite with coffee lovers since it opened in December 2024 but when they teamed up with Bakarí following a fire at their premises last month to bring their sandwiches and pastries back I had to give it a go for my lunch. I took the short stroll across the foot bridge when the sun was shining on Belfast and it really hit me that this has one of the best views to offer in the city especially on a nice day.
When I arrived I was pleased to see that I was just in time for one of the last two sandwiches so I quickly snapped it up and grabbed myself a white chocolate rocky road for good measure. I got the baguette with tomato, za'atar & lemon pesto, mozarella and mixed leaves. This will come as no surprise because they are well known for their breads but the baguette was spectacular and the flavours were absolutely spot on and I absolutely loved it.
You can really tell that real thought and attention has gone into these sandwiches as part of this pop up. So whatever you end up going for I do really think it will go down an absolute treat. The pop up will be there on Tuesday and Thursday this week but be quick before it sells out.
I can't go without giving Native Coffee the praise it is long overdue. The coffee was fantastic and the tray bake selection left my mouth watering and definitely recommend treating yourself to one while you're there. It doesn't stop at just a coffee spot, this place is quickly building a community on the banks of the Lagan.
With weekly running clubs, recently participating in Late Night Art and much more than I could ever begin to list here but do check out their socials for to keep up to date on what they're up to. So this spot is somewhere you might pop by and visit on a whim but it will have you coming back time and time again with the heart and soul it pours into their business. They are really putting the work in to stand out and make sure customers feel at home on their visit.
Often we see businesses like this come along but this one has really put their stake in the ground as something a little different and it will become a regular spot for me moving forward because of the great coffee, food pop ups and genuinely unique offering. So the next time you're in the city centre of Belfast take the short walk over and you will see why I speak so highly of it. Native Coffee x Bakarí review: Pop-up is an absolute treat but be quick before it sells out

Native coffee have teamed up with Bakarí which was all the encouragement I needed to give it a go!
