A Florida man has been handed a life sentence for the murder of his former employer, who tried to help his girlfriend get away from their abusive relationship, followed by interring her remains in his backyard. The conviction of Nathaniel Slade, 43, for the homicide of LaDonna Williams, aged 41, was publicized by State Attorney Melissa Nelson through a press release. Slade's partner told police he stabbed the victim in the heart back in February 2022 and forced her to get rid of the body in a trash can, claiming, "I had to do what I had to do.

She was disrespecting me." Disturbingly, crime scene photographs from the Delphi murders have leaked, propelling theories of 'cult killings' after discovery that the victims' throats were cut and blood was smeared on a tree. Elsewhere, a Wisconsin mother sent haunting text messages post an incident where she 'permitted' her boyfriend to slay her 3 year old child, reports the Mirror US .

During the court proceedings, prosecutors divulged that Williams' corpse stayed within the Jacksonville residence they were renting for quite some time, her body thrown away as rubbish right outside the window. "Buried her in the trash can and then slept with her body outside of his bedroom window for some period of weeks before he left the house," disclosed Brooke Milo, the Assistant State Attorney for the 4th Judicial Circuit, while speaking to WJAX, a CBS local affiliate. The grim reality unfurled when Williams' son lodged a missing person report upon not receiving replies to the birthday wishes he sent for her 41st birthday toward February's end.

Moreover, he grew wary upon getting requests for money via suspicious texts from her cellphone. The son of the woman found dead shared his constant anxiety with WJXT, saying: "I was stressed out all the time, really," and "I would think about her constantly. I would look for her.

I would try to ask for help." On April 20, 2022, a local resident doing yard work made a grim discovery when they came across a mysterious box in their backyard and immediately contacted the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Williams' son told WJXT that his mother had managed Slade's work on home repair projects, adding, "I met him plenty of times," as he recalled visiting his mom at various job sites.

WJAX reported a dark turn in the story, revealing that Williams had been trying to help Slade's girlfriend leave an abusive relationship with him before she was murdered. Slade, who was already serving a life sentence for attempted first-degree murder, armed burglary, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in an unrelated case, pleaded guilty to the charges on Jan 8 and received his sentence on Feb. 15, according to prosecutors.

The GoFundMe page dedicated to Williams features a moving tribute, describing her as an extraordinarily resilient and cherished person. The tribute shares: "She lived life day by day ready for whatever God had planned. She was the grandmother of two, soon to be four.

She was a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many. She was loved by everyone she met and kept faith in her heart. One thing nobody ever prepares for is the death of a loved one, especially their own mother.
