IGN India was the media partner of Coscon. Over a thousand anime fans gathered at Nagpur’s Suresh Bhatt Auditorium on September 8, joining forces for the iconic Survey Corps salute from Attack on Titan at Coscon , an event organised by the Nagpur Anime Club. The highlight of Coscon was its cosplay competition, where the winning duo earned the prestigious opportunity to represent India in Japan at the Pop Culture Hiroshima (PCH) cosplay contest.

Nagpur’s Isha and Anukul took home a cash prize from a total pool of ₹1 lakh, which is a large sum for an Indian anime event. “It felt unreal,” said Isha. “When our names were announced, I thought I was hallucinating, but it turns out we were honoured as Indian representatives.

I'll do my best to make the nation proud! Ganbarimasu!” “I never won [at] any Coscon before, so it felt like all my luck was waiting to be used in this big win,” Anukul added. “Better late than never! Big things take time and patience with same efforts what we call consistent energy.” Donald, the judge of the cosplay competition, praised the event’s growth.

“This was my second visit to Nagpur, and the growth of Coscon has been exceptional. . I’m confident that this event will continue to flourish in the coming years.

The winners truly stood out, captivating the audience not only with their impressive stunts but also with their facial expressions as well as body language, highlighting their potential to grow further.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by nagpuranimeclub (@nagpuranimeclub) Influencers and anime creators like Badal, AnimeTm, Mayo Japan, Yogi Bolta Hai, and cosplayer Rara connected with fans, sharing their anime journeys.
