By Rita Okoye Ebun Hodo, the stunning Nigerian actress and fashion designer, exudes grace and creativity both on and off the screen. With Yuletide season in full swing, she shares her thoughts about her dream Christmas, cherished childhood memories, and how she plans to spend the festive period. For Ebun, Christmas is about finding the perfect balance as she explains: “My dream Christmas is all about being surrounded by loved ones in a cosy, snow-dusted setting with a roaring fireplace.

I wouldn’t mind sneaking away to a tropical beach either. Honestly, it’s more about the people I’m with than the place. And no work emails! Just good food, laughter, and a little Mariah Carey playing in the background.

” Reflecting on her fond childhood memories, Ebun recounts how she grew up in a Jehovah’s Witness home where Christmas wasn’t traditionally celebrated. She reminisces: “My mom and aunties, who had left the church, would come back home and spice things up. Those innocent, wonder-filled Christmas celebrations are something I’ll always cherish.

” As the year winds down, Ebun is embracing the spirit of gratitude. “This Christmas, I’m grateful for health, family, and the opportunity to take a moment to breathe and reflect,” she says, adding: :Life can be so fast-paced, and the holidays remind me to slow down and appreciate the little things, like the joy in a child’s eyes or sharing a quiet moment with loved ones.” When it comes to Christmas food, Ebun is unapologetically enthusiastic.

“Oh, I’m a sucker for classic Christmas pudding! Meat, to be precise. And, of course, some yummy eba to go with it.”.
