My Chemical Romance breaks silence after drummer's body found decomposing at his home

Bob Bryar, who played drums for rock band My Chemical Romance, was found dead at his home in Tennessee last week and his former bandmates have now spoken out

My Chemical Romance has spoken out for the first time since their former drummer Bob Bryar was found dead at his home. The rock band asked for "patience and understanding" as they process their grief. Bryar died at the age of 44 and his body was found at his home in Tennessee last Wednesday after no one had heard from him in weeks.

His cause of death is yet to be revealed. It's currently unclear when Bryar died, but his body is said to have been "decomposing" when it was found by police. Officials have confirmed Bryar's death is not being treated as suspicious as all of his weapons and music equipment at his home were left untouched.

Animal Control arrived at Bryar's house after his body was discovered and removed two dogs from the property. The investigation into Bryar's death is set to continue, according to reports.

Bryar was last publicly seen on November 4, according to TMZ . The drummer had posted to social media site X a day after he was last seen in public. He appeared to reference the US election as well as his late friend and Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington .

"Emily Armstrong is destroying, shredding faces and making Chester proud," Bryar wrote, referring to the singer who took over from Bennington following his death in 2017. Bryar continued, "She was the perfect choice and she had to deal with the initial hate. That s--- is hard.

Trust me. Word up." Fans have been paying tribute to Bryar on social media.

One fan posted on X, "How sad that he had passed up to 3 weeks ago and nobody knew. Where are Bob Bryar 's close friends or family? REST IN PEACE BROTHER." Another shared a picture of Bryar and said, "RIP #BobBryar.

Took this in 2005, first time I ever saw #MCR. Gutted this morning." Bryar first met his My Chemical Romance bandmates when the group was touring with The Used in 2004.

Bryar had been the band's drummer since then, taking over from Matt Pelissier. Bryar played drums on My Chemical Romance's 2006 album The Black Parade and also wrote songs for their 2010 record Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. He left the band in 2010.
