Noise rock titans my bloody valentine has confirmed plans for a rare live show. The band haven’t released new material since 2013’s surprise album ‘m b v’, but their legacy looms over modern music. With ‘shoegaze’ becoming a trending sound on TikTok, a fresh generator of artists are grappling with the possibilities afforded by my bloody valentine’s innovations.
The activity hasn’t entirely slowed, however. my bloody valentine signed to Domino Publishing in 2021, bringing their catalogue to streaming for the first time , alongside a comprehensive vinyl re-issue programme. In addition to this, leader Kevin Shields insists that new material is on the way – a song-based album, and a more left-field album.
He’s not bluffing, either – a USB featuring new solo noises was sneaked out into the world last year, hidden in the make-up of his latest guitar pedal. — — my bloody valentine will hit the road in 2025. The band have confirmed plans for a special show at 3Arena in Dublin on November 22nd, 2025 (as per their social media accounts).
Fans who sign up to their newsletter at mybloodyvalentine.org will be added to the pre-sale; general sale starts at 10am on Friday (November 29th). No word yet on further live shows.
