There are welcome returns to the Kilkenny team for Eoin Murphy and Tommy Walsh with both players set to make their first competitive starts of the year against Limerick in the Allianz League on Sunday afternoon. The addition of the experienced duo are the only two changes in the Kilkenny team as Derek Lyng largely keeps faith with the starting 15 that defeated Wexford a fortnight ago. Fresh from winning the Fitzgibbon Cup last Saturday, Killian Doyle will line out at midfield as he comes up against a number of his UL teammates while Billy Reid and Padraic Moylan who were both on the losing DCU side at the Connacht Centre of Excellence have been named on the bench.
There is still no sign of the likes of TJ Reid, Richie Reid, Adrian Mullen and John Donnelly with none of the quartet named in the squad. The game is a repeat of last year's league semi-final and will be a major test of Kilkenny's early season credentials with Limerick welcoming back the likes of Declan Hannon, Seamus Flanagan and Cathal O'Neill for this one. A large crowd is expected in UPMC Nowlan Park where there is a 1.
45pm throw-in and for those that can't attend, the game will also be live on TG4.
