Rainy, granite-grey clouds descend on the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks, almost as if to help conceal the mountain’s secrets, whatever they may be. Only my ears feel the chilly conditions; the rest of my body is submerged in a heated outdoor pool, where I can simultaneously admire and be immersed in my surroundings. To my right, a pier lies idle while waiting for the boats to return from a day on Lough Léin.
To my left are oversized chairs, the perfect reprieve for some giant tired from roaming the Kingdom of Kerry..
