Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre said it will be investing Rs 800 crore on the proposed 300 bed state-of-the-art cancer hospital in the upscale Bandra, Mumbai. Budget 2025 to catapult India's domestic manufacturing to a global scale The proposed cancer hospital will be around 3,50,000 square feet and will be located close to the existing Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, said Prashant Mehta, permanent trustee of the Lilavati Hospital. Mehta said the land for the proposed hospital has been identified, and will be allotted by the Maharashtra government at a subsidised price.
He added that the funding for the cancer hospital will be through donations and through bank debt. "There are huge donations coming because everybody knows cancer is the need of the hour, everyone wants to participate and do something good for the country, for the city of Mumbai," Mehta said.
