Kaamya’s journey to conquer the highest peaks on each of the seven continents began at a young age.
She successfully scaled Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Elbrus in Europe, Mount Kosciuszko in Australia, Mount Aconcagua in South America, Denali in North America, Mount Everest in Asia, and finally, Vinson Massif in Antarctica123. Her final ascent of Vinson Massif on December 24, 2024, marked the completion of this extraordinary challenge. The Indian Navy, along with her school, celebrated her achievement, highlighting her determination, resilience, and adventurous spirit.
Kaamya’s father, Commander S. Karthikeyan, accompanied her on many of these expeditions, providing support and encouragement. The young mountaineer expressed her gratitude to her family, school, and the Indian Navy for their unwavering support throughout her journey.
