Mumbai police have increased security in busy locations, including religious places, following intelligence from central agencies about a potential terrorist threat. "We have been instructed to conduct mock drills in crowded areas and religious places. All deputy commissioners of police are actively monitoring the security in their respective jurisdictions," a senior police officer was quoted as saying by TOI .
