Mumbai: MMRDA allocates plot C-82 at BKC to NSE for expansion

MMRDA has allotted a 5,500 sq. m. plot in BKC’s G-Block to the National Stock Exchange for building a new administrative headquarters, further cementing BKC’s reputation as a financial powerhouse

In a significant boost to Mumbai’s commercial infrastructure, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has allotted Plot No. C-82 in the G-Block of Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) to the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) for the development of its new administrative headquarters.The decision was approved during MMRDA’s 159th Authority Meeting and aligns with ongoing efforts to further develop BKC as a premier financial and business district.

According to MMRDA, this allotment will help NSE enhance its operational efficiency while contributing to the broader commercial growth of Mumbai.The plot spans 5,500 square metres, with a permissible Floor Space Index (FSI) of 4.00, allowing for a total built-up area of 22,000 square metres.



The plot has been leased to NSE for a period of 80 years, and the approved usage is for a commercial administrative headquarters. The lease premium for the property has been fixed at Rs 757.90 crore.

In an official statement, MMRDA said, “This allotment will enhance operational efficiency for NSE and contribute significantly to the ongoing commercial development of BKC — strengthening Mumbai’s position as the financial capital of the country.”.
