Mumbai City sign former Barcelona, Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral

Listen to Story Indian Super League (ISL) club Mumbai City FC have roped in Spanish attacking midfielder Jon Toral on a free transfer on a two-year contract. The 29-year-old last played for Super League Greek club OFI Crete FC in 2021, and will now be trying out a different challenge in the ISL.Toral will bolster the Mumbai City midfield setup under manager Petr Kratky.

Toral has already caused a lot of hype amongst the massive fanbase of Mumbai City FC, specifically due to his rich heritage of playing in the youth setups of European giants. The midfielder has played for sides like La Liga giants FC Barcelona, and Premier League heavyweights Arsenal FC. Having played a total of 275 games with several top sides across Europe, Toral has managed 35 assists and scored 46 goals.
