Mumbai: 34-Year-Old Nalasopara Woman Arrested For Threatening Call Against PM Modi, Mental Health Issues Suspected

Mumbai: A 34-year-old woman has been arrested by the Amboli Police for allegedly making a threatening phone call against Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Mumbai Police Control Room. According to police, the woman, whose mental condition is reportedly unstable, was taken into custody late night of November 27. According to the police, the arrested woman, identified as Sheetal Chavan, is a resident of Nalasopara.

She made the threat call to the Mumbai Police Control Room while in the jurisdiction of the Amboli Police Station and then switched off her mobile phone. The Amboli Police traced her location and detained her from the Kanjurmarg area. She was brought to the police station, issued a notice, and later released.



The police Officer confirmed the arrest, stating that the woman is dealing with health issues but is still being questioned. The incident occurred around 9 PM on November 27 when Mumbai’s Police Control Room received a call claiming a conspiracy to assassinate PM Modi, with the alleged conspirators being armed. After receiving the call, the police registered a case and dispatched a team to trace the caller.

The woman was located and brought in for questioning. During the investigation, it was revealed that she suffers from mental instability. Officials have classified the call as a prank, as no prior criminal record was found against the woman.
