Muhammad Mokaev has booked his first fight since leaving the UFC. The undefeated flyweight contender was shockingly released by Dana White after picking up the biggest win of his career over Manel Kape at UFC 304 in Manchester, England in July. Since then, the 24-year-old has signed with his old promotion Brave CF , and been booked to make his second debut for the league on December 13.

Muhammad Mokaev will square off against Luthando Biko at Brave CF 91, which will be the first leg of a doubleheader at the Khalifa Sports City arena in Bahrain, with Brave CF 92 taking place two days later at the same venue. He’ll be a heavy underdog when he squares off against the man who claims he is the ‘highest-paid flyweight’ in MMA.

Mokaev tweeted after re-signing with Brave CF: “Highest paid flyweight fighter in the world right now without holding the title @bravemmaf. “But of course my goal is come back to UFC because it is the number 1 promotion in the world right now.” Mokaev’s inking of an extremely lucrative deal came after he offered to fight for the UFC for free – but Dana White stood firm on his decision to cut the Dagestani wrestler.

It appears he will return to the big league sooner rather than later, but only if he’s able to avoid a shock defeat at the hands of Biko next month. Why was Muhammad Mokaev cut by the UFC? UFC fans speculated that Muhammad Mokaev’s release from the UFC was because of his fighting style, which sees him dominate his opponents on the ground. However, White insists that had nothing to do with it.

The MMA mogul claims that Mokaev’s behavior backstage was ultimately what led to his shocking decision to cut the top contender. “It is what it is,” White said in August. “I always say this, that this is an opportunity to be here and to perform in front of the entire world.

He’s just a guy that did everything wrong and pissed these guys off. “I wasn’t involved in any of the stuff that happened with him. But you know, the matchmakers and Hunter (Campbell) were, and they weren’t happy with him.

They weren’t happy with the way he acted. “They weren’t happy with a lot of things he did and said. I guess you can look back now and regret it, but you did it, and you put yourself in this position.
