STARS at the MTV Europe Music Awards were showered with £180,000-worth of freebies each — but made a beeline for Greggs jewellery. Performers including Pet Shop Boys, Raye , Tyla, Teddy Swims and Shawn Mendes were able to take their pick of the luxury haul. And while goodies such as a £26,000 VIP trip to the Las Vegas Grand Prix were up for grabs, the surprise hit of the night was the high-street baking giant’s new bling.
It includes £36 gold-plated sausage roll earrings and a £45 jammy heart necklace. Around 40 presenters and “talent” had swag bags worth £180,000 dropped at their hotel suites. Other accredited guests and VIPs were given access to the “gifting suite” at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena.

Jewellery, speakers, make-up and Man City tickets were available — along with Manchester brands and designers.
