MP: Echoes Of Bengaluru Techie Death In Neemuch

Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident, reminiscent of the high-profile Atul Subhash case in Bangalore, a sensational suicide case has surfaced in Neemuch district in which one Dinesh Prajapati, a resident of Dunglavda village, succumbed after consuming poison. Prajapati took the extreme step reportedly due to continuous harassment from his estranged wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law. The incident has shaken the local community and brought attention to issues of domestic harassment.

Dinesh's family alleges that despite paying a hefty sum of Rs 15 lakh to his in-laws, he was continuously harassed for more money and subjected to physical abuse. His wife, Sonu Prajapati, mother-in-law Santosh Prajapati, and brother-in-law Shubham Prajapati, all residents of Pratapgarh, are named in the complaint for allegedly abetting the suicide. A dying declaration with evidence Before his death, Dinesh recorded a video statement, shared WhatsApp statuses, and left behind call recordings narrating his ordeal.



In one such recording, he tearfully implores a relative to take care of his son, recounting how his in-laws assaulted him during a visit to bring back his wife. His heart-wrenching confession reveals how unbearable the torment became, pushing him to consume poison. After initially being treated at Neemuch District Hospital, Dinesh was referred to Udaipur Hospital due to his critical condition.

He succumbed on Friday despite efforts to save him. Complaint filed by deceased’s family The grieving family has lodged a formal complaint with the Neemuch Cantt Police Station, demanding justice for Dinesh. The complaint seeks action under relevant sections of the BNS Act against the accused for extortion, harassment, and abetment of suicide.

Police investigation underway The police, led by Neemuch SP Ankit Jaiswal, have initiated an investigation. A search of Dinesh's house revealed celphose tablets, suspected to be the substance consumed. SP Jaiswal assured that a case would be registered after procedural formalities and further action would follow promptly.
