The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers ruled the 90s, creating a legacy of oversized robots, colorful battles, and unshakable teamwork that captured the imagination of kids everywhere. Decades later, LEGO fans have reignited that spark with a Megazord design that’s as much a nostalgia trip as it is a feat of creative engineering. Standing tall at 35.
6 cm (14 inches), this LEGO Megazord invites fans of all ages to relive Saturday mornings with a new level of tactile wonder. Rather than being a mere static model—this LEGO build comes alive with with action and detail. The Megazord can disassemble into its five iconic Dinozords: the Mastodon, Pterodactyl, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Tyrannosaurus.
Each Zord boasts posable limbs, letting you recreate their TV show moments or invent entirely new scenes. But the real magic happens when these Zords combine into the mighty Dino Megazord. The design captures every nuance of its TV counterpart, from the angular head crest to the imposing stance.
Improvements in proportions, particularly around the waist and thighs, make this model look even more dynamic and true-to-character than earlier attempts. Designer: legotruman The Megazord’s articulation takes it beyond a simple display piece. With movable joints in the head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles, this model is built for action.
The Power Sword and Mastodon shield add to its battle-ready aura, and they’re not just accessories—they’re storytelling tools, begging for adventures to unfold across your living room floor. And of course, what’s a Megazord without its pilots? This set includes minifigures of the five original Power Rangers: Zack (Black), Kimberly (Pink), Billy (Blue), Trini (Yellow), and Jason (Red). Each figure has custom-printed heads that channel their on-screen counterparts.
Though LEGO’s submission rules prohibit custom helmet parts, the creator has cleverly designed the minifigures to hint at those iconic looks. If the project reaches production, there’s every chance the Power Rangers will suit up with proper helmets. The MOC comes with the entire Power Rangers task force, featuring the 5 iconic heroes and their ‘Zords’.
Remarkably enough, while most of the stuff we saw on TV was a combination of CGI and practical effects, this LEGO set turns everything into true reality, with the Zords being independently capable, but also possessing the ability to attach into one another to make the Megazord. That isn’t something you expect from LEGO bricks, but builder ‘legotruman’ managed to pull off the practical assemblies. LEGO creator ‘legotruman’ has meticulously refined the design based on feedback and passion.
The Pterodactyl’s wings are sleeker, the Mastodon’s head more expressive, and the T-Rex’s claws and legs have newfound strength. Even the Megazord’s head has been reworked to refine its crest, eyes, and nose, bringing a sharper, more recognizable silhouette. What’s truly remarkable is the level of community support this project has garnered.
The MOC (My Own Creation) garnered more than 7,000 votes the last time around, falling shy of its 10,000 vote goal. This time, legotruman hopes his design refinements will help the MOC get to where it needs to be – the 10,000 vote mark following which LEGO’s internal team will officially review it and (hopefully) turn it into a retail box set. So, if your inner 90s kid is already shouting “It’s Morphin’ Time,” here’s your chance to turn that battle cry into reality.
By supporting this project, you’re not just voting for a toy—you’re championing the creativity of fans who grew up inspired by these stories and who now pass that inspiration on through LEGO bricks. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll have a hand in assembling a piece of Power Rangers history that you can hold in your hands. Vote for the Power Rangers Megazord on the .
