
CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe has reiterated his commitment to ensuring all African nations can host international matches in their own countries by improving football infrastructure.Speaking at the CAF Extraordinary General Assembly in Cairo, Motsepe highlighted the progress made under his leadership, noting a significant reduction in the number of nations unable to host home matches due to inadequate stadiums.Now, we have 12 nations who are not playing home games in their countries.
Previously, it was 38 nations, but we want to make sure everyone can have a standard stadium and play their matches at home, Motsepe said.Motsepe has prioritised investment in stadiums and infrastructure, working alongside FIFA and CAF member associations to enhance facilities..
