Motorway set to be shut for sometime after crash - diversions in place

The M6 in Lancashire is closed southbound between J33 (Garstang, Fleetwood A6) and J32 Broughton Interchange (Blackpool M55, Preston due to a Police-led incident. All emergency services including Lancashire Police are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene providing assistance with traffic management.

Due to the nature of the incident, the road is likely to be closed for some time. Diversion route: Road users are advised to follow the hollow triangle diversion symbols on road signs. Exit M6 J33 (Lancaster South) At roundabout take first exit A6 Garstang, Blackpool, Fleetwood Follow A6 southbound through Garstang, Bilsborrow, Barton, Broughton to M55 J1 (Broughton) Take first roundabout exit, Birmingham M6 Follow M55 to M6 J32, head south towards Birmingham.
