Most parts of PH to see cloudy skies, rains due to easterlies

The easterlies will be the dominant weather system in the country in the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA's early Saturday morning forecast. Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas due to the easterlies, which will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country. Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies with rains because of the northeasterly wind flow.

Forecast winds and coastal water conditions are moderate to strong and moderate to rough in extreme northern Luzon. Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are expected for the rest of the Philippines. The sun rose over Metro Manila at 5:54 a.
