The Black Queens lost narrowly (1-0) to the Atlas Lioness of Morocco in an international friendly in Casablanca on Friday. The Queens created some decent chances in the opening minutes but were denied by goalkeeper Fatima Ezzahra. Morocco’s pressure yielded results in extra time when Saoud Imane scored the match winner, slotting home a loose ball in defense. This match serves as a test drive for Coach Kim Lars Björkegren as he prepares the team for the upcoming TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in July. The Black Queens of Ghana will finish their last friendly match in Morocco on Monday, 24th February 2025 against Raja Athletic.
