Pro Football Focus has been added to the list of outlets that think the New York Jets should help quarterback Justin Fields in the trenches at the 2025 NFL draft with one popular prospect. The football analytics outlet's recent mock has the Jets selecting Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou with the team's top selection at No. 7 overall.
Despite New York selecting Olu Fashanu with their top selection at last year's draft, free agency is why Membou could be on New York's radar during the draft. Both Morgan Moses and Tyron Smith are no longer on the Jets' roster, leaving a hole at tackle. Membou's draft stock jumped following his efforts last season.
Pro Football Focus' grade on him was a 90.6 in 12 games played in 2024, up from a 67.1 the year prior.
PFF's breakdown on Membou to the Jets can be found below: If the Jets hope to maximize Justin Fields at quarterback, it will require more investments in the offense, particularly along the offensive line. With Morgan Moses heading to New England, the Jets would be wise to address the spot with the athletic right tackle out of Mizzou. Membou’s 86.
0-plus PFF grades as a run blocker and a pass protector would undoubtedly be an upgrade over Chukwuma Okorafor or any option currently on the roster. This article originally appeared on Jets Wire: Morning mock draft: PFF helps Jets QB Justin Fields in Round 1.
