Off the field: Kane’s favorite softball memory is River’s walk-off win against Bay in Myrtle Beach. The sophomore roots for the Guardians and enjoys playing basketball, hanging out with friends and family and listening to country music. Her favorite food is shrimp pasta aioli.



Ava KennedyWestlake>>Girls lacrosseSenior>>GoalieOn the field: Kennedy had 15 saves in a 9-8 double overtime win over Brunswick and eight saves in an 8-4 win over Ottawa Hills.Off the field: Kennedy plans to attend Calvin University and play lacrosse. One of her favorite sports memories is being stuck on the bus during a weather delay and everyone played music.

Off the field: Torres’ favorite sports memory was his first-ever varsity game last week with his teammates there for him. His nickname is “Big T” and his favorite hobby is spending time with family and friends. The freshman’s favorite subjects are history and math, favorite movie is “Remember the Titans” and favorite show is “How I Met Your Mother.

The senior threw 38-4 1/4 to win shot and won discus with a distance of 110-10.Off the track: Whitt will throw at the Division I level at Marshall University.

Her nickname is “Big Mone” and favorite sports memory is winning the Lake Erie League team title last year.Maria YoungAvon>>SoftballFreshman>>PitcherOn the field: In three games, Young pitched 17 innings, struck out 25 and gave up only nine hits and two runs. The Eagles won all three games.

Off the field: Young’s favorite sports memories are playing little league softball with her mom coaching. She was always excited to play in the summer and get ice cream after. Her favorite meals are lasagna and chicken francese and her favorite subject is history.
