OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Showers and severe thunderstorms rumbled through the state overnight Friday and into early Saturday morning bringing us our first round of rain. More rain is expected Saturday after a brief lull in activity in the morning for most. Rain and storms will pick back up in coverage by this afternoon and evening.
In addition to the rain, the chance for severe storms continues this evening and overnight, especially along and southeast of the I44 corridor. Overnight heavy rain and storms are expected to continue which could lead to some flash flooding in some regions. Flood watches remain in effect until Sunday afternoon for a large portion of the state.
For your Easter Sunday, things look to start wet in the morning but as the low pressure system finally pulls away from us, we should slowly dry out and see some gradual clearing through the afternoon..
