Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) is intensifying its control measures to oversee the performance of healthcare practitioners working in the State of Qatar, ensuring their compliance with the laws regulating the health sector and the policies adopted by the Ministry.

The MoPH is committed to ensuring the competence and safety of healthcare practitioners to deliver high-quality healthcare services in Qatar.

As part of its monitoring procedures for the current year, 2025, carried out by the Health Specialties Department in collaboration with other relevant departments, the MoPH has taken several legal actions against violators and the institutions where they operate.

The MoPH closed two private dental clinics. One centre was found to be providing healthcare services through practitioners who did not hold the required professional licences, while the other centre offered specialised healthcare services through practitioners operating beyond the scope of their professional licences.

All legal measures have been taken against both clinics and the violating practitioners.

Additionally, the MoPH temporarily closed a private nutrition centre for operating solely with a nutrition specialist, without the presence of a nutrition technician.

The centre was also found to be providing healthcare services through practitioners who did not hold the necessary professional licences to offer such services.

All legal measures have been taken against the facility and the violating practitioners.

Furthermore, the MoPH closed four units in private healthcare centres for violating the laws regulating the health sector. Most of the violations involved healthcare practitioners operating beyond the scope of their professional licences.

The MoPH also suspended the professional licence of a doctor for working outside the scope of their licence, in addition to taking other legal actions against the doctor and the private healthcare facility where they were employed.

The MoPH is committed to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in healthcare services provided in the country, striving to enhance the quality of healthcare and ensure patient safety.
