NEW DELHI: Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Kailash Gehlot resigned from the party just months before the assembly elections. It is reported that he submitted his resignation this morning. Kailash Gehlot is the minister in charge of Transport, Law and Revenue Department.

Assembly elections will be held in Delhi early next year. Kailash's unexpected resignation is a big blow to the Aam Aadmi Party. Kailash has also sent a letter to party convener Arvind Kejriwal to inform him about his resignation.

He has resigned from the post of MLA and party member. Kailash resigned by making serious allegations against the party and the government. In his letter to Kejriwal, he said that the party was facing serious challenges due to the unfulfilled promises of the Delhi government and the government was overriding its commitment to the people of Delhi for political ambitions.

"The Aam Aadmi Party is facing tough challenges. I want to share this with you. Political ambitions have overtaken our commitment to the people and many promises have gone unfulfilled," Kailash said in the letter.
