Monsoon set to revive, more rains from tomorrow

Jaipur: Mild to moderate showers are likely in Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota and Bharatpur divisions on Wednesday when monsoon revives in the state, said the Met office on Monday. Despite the monsoon season typically ending by Sept 15, Rajasthan has already experienced 61% higher rainfall this year. The extended monsoon will continue to deliver more rainfall.

The Met office said eastern parts of the state would get “mild to moderate showers” from Wednesday. Nathdwara in Rajsamand district received a rainfall of 70 mm, the highest in the state on Monday, followed by rainfall varying from 30 mm to 10 mm at many places. No rainfall was witnessed throughout the day in Jaipur.



There was a nip in the air in the early morning hours. A minimum temperature of 24.9 degree Celsius was witnessed in the morning, followed by an afternoon with a maximum temperature of 34 degree Celsius.

The city may witness partially cloudy conditions on Tuesday, and mild and scattered showers on Wednesday, said the Met office. The state has received an average rainfall of 668.9 mm in this season so far compared to 419.
