Molly Ringwald to dish on 'The Breakfast Club' at Fargo Theatre

Other weekend highlights include the St. Patrick's Parade, an Easter Bunny fly-in at the Fargo Air Museum and a group photo show at the Spirit Room.

In the 1980s, Molly Ringwald had a series of hits from 1984’s “Sixteen Candles” to 1988’s “For Keeps.” Still, her biggest success was in the 1985 ensemble classic, “The Breakfast Club,” about five very different high school students serving weekend detention. Saturday The actress brings the film to the Fargo Theatre Saturday night to close out the Fargo Film Festival.

She’ll screen the movie and talk about her life and career, from working with noted director John Hughes and her association with the Brat Pack to her work as an author. The show starts at 7 p.m.

W. Scott Olsen asked fellow local photographers to dig in their archives for some of their favorite pieces. As a result, the show “Stories from the Attic” is on display at Fargo’s Spirit Room gallery.

A reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m Friday with artists like Don Clark, Lynn Fundingsland, Kary Janousek, Jon Solinger, Megan Duda, Shane Mercer and more. The opening and the show are free and open to the public.

Patrick’s Parade. The fun starts at 11 a.m.

on the corner of Eighth Street and Center Avenue in Moorhead and rolls east over the bridge onto Fargo’s NP Avenue. Floats will keep heading east until turning north on Broadway and continuing that way until the route ends at Second Avenue North. Bring a bag to load up on all of the candy and swag from the marchers or just stand back and take in the colorful and creative displays.

That’s why this Saturday the big bunny is at the Fargo Air Museum from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Get your picture taken with the fun bunny, or take part in face painting, a coloring contest and of course, egg hunts. Admission ranges from $10 for children 5 to 11 to $15 for those 12 and older. fargoairmuseum.
