
Qatar tribune QNA Doha The Department of Real Estate Registration at the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) announced the launch of a new package of e-services, within the framework of the ministry’s plan for digital transformation and modernisation of real estate registration and documentation services. This would help facilitate transactions and keeping pace with the sectoral plans of the Third National Development Strategy to enable citizens, residents and investors to obtain easy and affordable digital services, and enhance the efficiency of the real estate registration and documentation sector. The updated version of the Sak Application has introduced a new digital services package that includes the following services: issuing a title deed to replace a lost one, issuing a title deed to replace a damaged one, providing property statements, correcting the type of property, correcting the owner’s name, handling mortgages, and unwinding mortgages.
The updated version of the Sak Application also provides the possibility of completing transactions electronically and receiving title deeds through Qatar Post services. The Real Estate Registration Department announced the activation of the QR code feature on the updated title deeds, as this code allows users to many features, such as viewing public data related to the property, once scanned through the phone’s camera. It also provides the property location feature using the Geographic information system (GIS), in addition to the ability to view the route of directions to reach the real estate unit via Google Maps.
The QR code also allows viewing additional detailed data related to the owner and the property when scanning it using the Sak Application for smart devices. The Ministry of Justice recently launched the modern and upgraded version of Sak Application, which includes electronic services for the real estate registration and documentation sector, including the newly launched digital transformation services and transactions that enable citizens and residents to complete their transactions electronically without the need to visit the Ministry of Justice. The new updated version of Sak Application provides easier services and procedures for all MOJ beneficiaries, and will also contribute to enhancing the user experience and improving the digital experience provided to various segments of society, and the new version also included all services, regulations, laws, and applications, including ‘Absher’ service, the real estate appraiser application ‘Al-Mothamin’, and the real estate bulletin, with the same new interface for the Sak Application, which will provide beneficiaries with searching in one application only.
The application also includes viewing detailed property data and the location of the property by simply scanning the QR code available on the title deed, and pressing the cadastral number. The upgraded version of the Sak Application allows, for the first time, to complete a number of transactions electronically and obtain the legal editor or paper version of the transaction after the completion of the procedures by Qatar Post. The automated services encompass the issuance of a title deed to replace a lost or damaged one, correcting the owner’s name and property type.
These transactions can be handled through Qatar Post, eliminating the need for in-person visits to the Ministry or its service offices. Additionally, the new application facilitates property disclosure transactions that can be received via e-mail. Copy 05/02/2025 10.
