Mohave man arrested after Needles sheriff’s office sign vandalized

NEEDLES — A Mohave Valley man was arrested earlier this month after allegedly vandalizing signage at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Colorado River Station in Needles. Rick Ross, 33, has been charged on suspicion of felony vandalism for defacing property. At about 6:50 a.

m. Nov. 6, Colorado River Station deputies responded to reported vandalism to their station’s sign found at 1111 Bailey Ave.



The sign, which denoted the Needles City Council and county probation locations, appears to have been broken in several places, based on an image provided by the sheriff’s department. During the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as Rick Ross. Ross was found two hours later near the 900 block of Front Street.

He was booked into the Colorado River Station jail for booking with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing. Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department at 760-326-9200.
