Mohammed Salah finally ends contract saga with Liverpool as he signs a new Liverpool contract until 2027, boosting Reds' title hopes with his best form. New Delhi: Egyptian king Mohamed Salah has ended speculation about his future by signing a new two-year contract with Liverpool. Salah’s previous deal was set to expire this summer, and there were growing concerns that he might leave, especially after his recent comments and strong interest from Saudi Arabian clubs.

But now, Salah has committed to staying at Anfield until at least 2027. The 32-year-old forward has been a key part of Liverpool’s success in recent years. Since joining from Roma in 2017, Salah has scored an incredible 243 goals and provided 109 assists in 393 appearances for the Reds.

He has become one of the most loved and respected players at the club. Speaking after signing the new deal, Salah said, “Of course I’m very excited – we have a great team now. Before, we also had a great team.

But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football. I have played eight years here, hopefully, it’s going to be 10. I’m enjoying my life here, enjoying my football.

I have had the best years of my career here.” Salah’s legacy at Anfield Salah has once again shown why he is such a crucial player for Liverpool. So far this season, he has scored 32 goals in all competitions, with 27 of them coming in the Premier League.

Despite uncertainty over his future, he has continued to shine and is currently enjoying his second-best goal-scoring season for Liverpool in 2024–25. His goals have played a huge role in helping Liverpool push for their 20th league title. With just seven games remaining, the Reds sit 11 points clear at the top, ahead of second-placed Arsenal.

With seven matches still to play, Salah is well on track to match or even surpass his career-best tally of 32 goals from his debut season. Salah’s loyalty and performance have helped Liverpool win many major trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. His decision to stay will surely come as a big boost to the fans and to the club’s future ambitions.

The forward has been one of three major Liverpool players whose contracts were due to expire this summer. The other two are defender Virgil van Dijk and right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. While Van Dijk has said that talks over a new deal are moving forward and is expected to extend the contract until 2027 just like Salah, Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked with a possible move to Real Madrid.

Salah’s renewal is not just a sign of his commitment to the club but also a statement that Liverpool still has big plans. With a talented squad and experienced leaders, the Reds will be aiming for more silverware in the coming years and with Salah on board, their chances now look even brighter.
