Mohamed Salah Signs New Two-Year Contract at Liverpool

After months of speculation, Liverpool have confirmed that Mohamed Salah is to stay at the club for two more years.

After months of speculation around his future at Anfield and concrete interest from teams in the Saudi Pro League, Liverpool have confirmed that Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club beyond the 2024/25 campaign. With his contract due to expire at the end of June, the former FC and Fiorentina man had insinuated over points in the season that he was keen to remain on the red half of Merseyside and, on Wednesday, it emerged that progress in talks had been made. Salah – widely regarded as one of the best players in world football – has written his name into Anfield mythology since joining from Italian outfit AS Roma in the summer of 2017.

As of today, he's scored 243 goals and notched a further 11 assists in 394 outings for the Reds. Salah Puts pen to Paper on New Liverpool Contract In 2024/25 alone, the Egyptian King has plundered 32 goals (27 of which have come in the Premier League) and 17 assists as his side, albeit knocked out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain, look all-but confirmed as this season's English top flight champions. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.

“It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football.

I had the best years in my career. “I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together.
