Pune: Southern Command's troops of Indian Army conducted a mock exercise for the first time to counter an internal security situation in Pune between March 10 and March 15. These drills involved over 300 participants from multiple agencies, including NDRF and police, and were designed to develop a coordinated response mechanism. The exercise was carried out at foreign training node of Aundh military station in Pune recently.

This exercise was aimed at understanding crunch situations. Once we have clarity, there will not be confusion among the agencies to control the situation. Any massive incident needs multiple tactics to prevent losses," said a senior official.
