Prayagraj: Under the cadaver donation campaign, the anatomy department of the MLN Medical College received its 95th body on Tuesday. This was the ninth donation of this year. Shyam Lal Yadav, 77, breathed his last on Monday night.
Yadav worked in the accounts department of Allahabad University and registered for body donation at the Medical College in Jan 2015. "He died last night at around 1:45am at his house in Rajrooppur. Following his demise, his son Arjun informed the head of the department of anatomy, Dr AK Singh.
On the instructions of the HoD, a team of doctors, including Dr Krishna Pandey and Dr Nishtha Singh, accepted the body with due respect," said Dr Badal Singh. After Shyam Lal, his son set an example of social service by donating his father's body. The entire Medical College family will be grateful for this donation, added Dr Badal.
