DUE to the current dispute between the Limerick District League and the referees, there were only four games played at the weekend, all away to Desmond League opposition in the FAI Youth Cup. There was mixed fortunes for the LDL sides with two sides progressing and two on the losing end. Fairview Rgs faced a tough encounter away to Breska Rvs and emerged victorious on a 3-1 scoreline.
The early exchanges were even enough with both teams having half chances but Fairview took the lead after 20 minutes with a well taken effort from Jamie Enright. Fairview doubled their lead on the half time mark through Cian Walsh. Eamon Doyle capped a fine performance by making it 3-0 but the home side never gave up the fight and pulled back a late consolation goal.

LEON Fitzgerald provided a lethal finish to put Ballynanty Rovers a goal ahead at Askeaton but the home side levelled the tie up before the break.
A slow start to the second half saw the home side tack on a couple of goals and despite a second score from Fitzgerald, Ballynanty Rovers were unable to claw back the deficit. Terry Harty was on the mark for Carew Park but they fell 4-1 to Glin..
