Miss Universe Philippines 2025 delegates with the Ati community/MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES FACEBOOK PHOTO Carrying the pageant’s theme “Love above All,” the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 delegates immersed in an indigenous community during their trip to Boracay. As if taking their cue from 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach’s oft-quoted line “confidently beautiful with a heart,” the ladies went to the Ati Village on Friday morning, April 4, to meet the members of the tribe and distribute goods to the community. “In partnership with Aqua Boracay, the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 delegates visited the Ati Village to hand out donations and spend time with the community,” the national pageant posted on social media on Saturday morning.
The delegates had just come from a four-day tour of the province of Northern Samar when they arrived on Boracay on Thursday, April 3. They came to the island destination for photoshoots and a swimsuit show. But to show that pageantry is not all about the glitz and glamour, the ladies competing this year traded their stilettos for flip-flops and sneakers to bond with the Ati people.
The village is home to dozens of families, descendants of the island paradise’s first settlers. The ladies will take part in a special presentation at Aqua Boracay later tonight, an event that many Filipino pageant fans look forward to every year. The 2025 Miss Universe Philippines coronation show will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 2.
