This marked the first time that Nigeria made it to the Miss Universe Top 5, while the first time since 1963 that Denmark made it this far in the pageant. Prior to the announcement of the five finalists, the delegates shined in their classy evening gowns while Robin Thicke performed two of his songs, “Magic” and “Lost Without You,” in the background. Meanwhile, after advancing to the Top 30, Philippine bet Chelsea Manalo fell short to make it to the Top 12. She was supposedly vying to give the Philippines its fifth Miss Universe crown. Reigning Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios is set to pass the crown to her successor at the end of the coronation night.
