Her ensemble featured a high-slit gown and a dramatic headdress that complemented her look. She was also a sight to behold in a video shown where she was wearing a teal-colored cut-out swimsuit. The dusky Filipina was vying to be the seventh Filipino woman to win the Miss International crown, after Gemma Cruz won in 1964, Aurora Pijuan in 1970, Melanie Marquez in 1979, Precious Lara Quigaman in 2005, Bea Rose Santiago in 2013, and Kylie Verzosa in 2016.
