Qatar tribune QNA Amman Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Jordan Dr Jaafar Hassan met with Minister of State for International Cooperation HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad in Amman on Tuesday. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and the ways to develop them, as well as enhancing cooperation between the two countries in providing humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. They also discussed a number of topics of common interest.
The two sides emphasised the importance of Qatari-Jordanian cooperation in ensuring the delivery of humanitarian, medical, and shelter aid to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which would contribute to alleviating their suffering and improving their living and health conditions. The Minister of State for International Cooperation also met separately with Minister of Planning and International Cooperation of Jordan Zeina Toukan and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Jordan Nancy Namrouqa. During the two meetings, they discussed relations between the two countries and the ways to support and enhance them, strengthening diplomatic, humanitarian and development cooperation, ways to provide humanitarian assistance and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, and developments in Syria, in addition to a number of topics of common interest.
The importance of joint action to promote stability and sustainable development was also highlighted during the meetings. The meetings were attended by Ambassador of Qatar to Jordan HE Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani and Acting Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Ahmed Al Asiri.
