RTE star Miriam O’Callagahn has taken to Instagram to thank those who helped her through a ‘nightmare ordeal’ The popular presenter lauded her local Tesco worker after they managed to reunite her with her lost laptop. Sharing the text exchange with her followers, the Prime Time host spoke of how she managed to lose the laptop, hours before having to go on air. The star had been in her local Tesco in The Merrion Center, where she also got her hair done.
She then made her way to RTE for work, before realising she’d left her laptop behind. Miriam rushed back to the centre to try and locate the missing laptop, but alas was not successful. After returning home, the broadcaster was delighted to receive a positive update from Celine, the shop’s manager.
The text read: ‘Just wanted to put your mind at ease. Your laptop was located and handed in by a customer.’ An overjoyed Miriam replied: ‘Thank you so much Celine.
You’re a star. I would like to give a small gift to that customer and you.’ Explaining how the ordeal unfolded, she wrote: ‘As I always say this world is full of wonderful people.
A post shared by Miriam O Callaghan (@instmiriam) ‘It was another crazy busy day yesterday and I managed to mislay my laptop with my life on it but I wasn’t sure where I left it. ‘I had been shopping in @Tescoirl in The Merrion Centre after getting my hair done in @petermarkhair before presenting Prime Time so after ransacking RTE but no luck I went back down to the Centre late yesterday evening before going on air but no sign. ‘But then when I got home from Prime Time around 11pm last night I got this text, a joyous text, eternally grateful to Celine in Customer Service in @tescoirl to store manager Rachael, to Henry there in security and to the guy who handed it into Henry after finding it in a trolley thank you SO much, I am forever grateful! ‘Note to self – don’t take your laptop with you when getting a blow dry or going shopping,’ she concluded.
