Mirae Asset Securities announced on September 19 that it was named the Best Securities Firm in South Korea at the “Euromoney Securities Houses Awards 2024,” organized by the global financial publication Euromoney. This award follows the recognition of Mirae Asset Group's Chairman, Park Hyeon-joo, who became the first Asian financier to receive the Global Business Leader of the Year Award from the Academy of International Business (AIB) in July, further demonstrating the company's international competitiveness. Euromoney, a prestigious financial magazine founded in the UK in 1969, annually evaluates financial institutions worldwide to recognize the best in various categories.

Euromoney stated that Mirae Asset Securities was chosen for securing new growth drivers through global expansion despite high-interest rates and geopolitical uncertainties, demonstrating robust profitability focused on wealth management (WM), achieving impressive growth through enterprise-wide AI investments, innovative achievements, and a strong investment banking (IB) franchise. Mirae Asset Securities recently announced that, following the completion of its acquisition of India’s Sharekhan brokerage firm, it expects an annual net profit increase of over 100 billion KRW from its global operations. Additionally, the company has developed specific plans for long-term shareholder returns.

According to its semi-annual disclosures, Mirae Asset Securities reported WM operating revenue of 991.1 billion KRW and a semi-annual net profit of 262 billion KRW, marking year-on-year increases of 15% and 26%, respectively. A representative from Mirae Asset Securities emphasized, "We are pioneering new paths beyond the domestic market, contributing to the export of South Korea's financial services.

We will continue to innovate in investments and global business to enhance customer wealth and support stable retirements.".
